After sharing a guest lecture at GrBC during my postdoc, I had been looking forward to teaching my first full course as visiting professor. Well, this spring, I received the surprise invitation to deliver the annual lectures for their Greek and international students––and on my favorite subject, no less! This was a 40-hour course on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament, as we explored redemptive-historical fulfillments of OT prophecies throughout the NT. I couldn't be happier to share the course with such an amazing group of students and to get to see two of my "academic siblings" on faculty at the college as well. We also had several other groups of students touring with the faculty from Liberty and Baylor who joined us for chapel messages during the tour. This was a course I'll never forget, and thanks be to God that the light of the gospel still shines in "the coastlands!" Isa 42:10 Sing to the LORD a new song,
Sing His praise from the end of the earth!
You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it.
You islands, and those who dwell on them.
Isa 42:12 Let them give glory to the LORD
And declare His praise in the coastlands.
